STRUCTURE

450 classroom hours
450 Management Trainee Programme
Monday to Friday, 9.30h to 13.30h. (plus 4 hours of group work in the afternoon)

OBJECTIVES

The objective of the International Master in Hospitality Management is to give participants a professional competitive advantage by focusing on two fundamental areas:

• mastery of specific business tools and techniques for the hospitality industry
• development of leadership skills that are essential to international managers

Participants will learn to effectively apply these elements as they develop their professional careers.

CLASSROOM HOURS

EADA has developed its own practical, active and participative approach with an emphasis on learning by doing.

This approach offers a unique study environment with classes of approximately 30 participants in which students will collaborate with classmates and faculty from all over the world, specially selected to contribute to a challenging and rewarding learning environment.

Final projects in 2008/2009 included:
Feasibility Studies:

• Expansion of Vacation Homes and Hotel Development Project (Nessebar, Bulgaria)
• Events and Catering Company (Cordoba, Argentina)
• Events Hall (Napa, California, USA)

Marketing Plans:

• Russian Tourism in Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)
• Near East and Arabic Tourism in the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I (Barcelona, Spain)

MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAMME (MTP)

Starting month: May
Final month: July

The Management Trainee Programme can take place in any country of the world and will be a 3-4 month full-time job during the summer term (May to July).

Areas of concentration in the MTP:

• Hotel chains and independent hotels
• Catering companies / Restaurants
• Consulting
• Travel industry

MTP placements in 2008/2009 included:

• Centre de Convencions Internacional (Spain)
• Elaine Bell Catering Company (USA)
• Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I (Spain)
• Menabria & Co Ltd in Nessebar (Bulgaria)
• Relaîs-Chateaux, Regional Marketing Office, Spain & Portugal (Spain)

STUDY ABROAD

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a term abroad once they have successfully completed the programme in Barcelona.

3. Candidates must take:
a) the GMAT (minimum score: 600) and, if they are not native English speakers, the TOEFL (minimum paper-based score: 550), or
b) EADA's own test at the Barcelona EADA office or online.

4. After receiving the documentation, we will contact you to arrange a personal interview with the Programme Director.
